Off Highway Recreation Vehicles

(RSA 215-A)

Municipalities, through their governing body, may authorize the use of sidewalks and class IV, class V or class VI highways and bridges, or portions thereof, for use by OHRVs. “Operators of OHRVs using said roads, or portions thereof, shall keep to the extreme right and shall yield to all conventional motor vehicle traffic.”

The operator or owner, or both, of an OHRV shall be responsible and held accountable to the owner of any lands where trees, shrubs, roads, or other property have been damaged as a result of travel over the owner’s premises by the OHRV. RSA 215-A:19, I(a)(1).
